Accuracy of Divisional Charts

The use of Shashthamsa Chart (D6) and Cancer Disease in Astrology with Examples:

To show how accurate divisional charts are, I have taken Shashthamsa Chart (D6) as a case study. Though, the use of Lagna Chart and Navamsha Chart along with divisional chart of interest is highly appreciated for accurate results. But, just to prove the accuracy of divisional charts, I will completely ignore Lagna Chart and Navamsha Chart for now with due respect. To be specific, I have taken only D6 charts as mentioned above.

Shashthamsa chart shows health related problems along with diseases. To be very specific, I will focus on only one disease which is ‘Cancer’. As it is well known that Rahu is responsible for cancer, Saturn also has to play a role in the said disease, as it is also karaka of death and Saturn is called Rahu like planet - Sani vat Rahu. 

Further, sixth house represents diseases, so will take it into consideration inspite of many other combinations, to be specific. 

Also, there are various lagna i.e. reference point. But we will consider Pakaa lagna (the placement of lagna lord is taken as lagna). As Pakaa lagna more accurately represents physical aspects, which is necessary when we are talking about diseases or say cancer to be specific. Also we will use others lagnas also in case required as per astrological principles.

Thus, divisional chart is specific and like wise house, lagna and responsible planet is also determined for our topic which is cancer disease.

Also, retrograde planet has much to say about cancer disease.

Now without making things more complicated, let’s take example charts of various celebrities from different fields who suffered from cancer.

(FYI: Rahu and Ketu are always together in D6 chart due to the way it is calculated

Case : 1

This D6 chart belongs to famous politician Mr. Sharad Pawar.

Why cancer?

Here Saturn is retrograde. So, instead of Pakaa lagna, 6th from Saturn gives clue about cancer as Rahu is there along with Mercury, as it increases the power of Rahu.

Which type of cancer?

He suffered from oral cancer. As oral parts and speech are represented by Mercury. As Mercury has joined Rahu there. Which clearly gives link as to what type of cancer he might get.

Here, one more interesting thing to note is that he has Mars in 6th from lagna, and Mars represents surgery. So, he had to undergone a surgery to remove oral ulcers. He also went through gallbladder surgery just because of placement of fiery Mars in 6th house in D6. Also, retrogradeJupiter is silently giving clues about it.

Case: 2

Rajesh Khanna’s D6 chart.

Why cancer?

Here retrograde Jupiter is itself sitting in 6th house along with Mercury and Moon. Also, Rahu is in lagna dominating the chart and giving a clue about cancer. Both having 6th and 8th relationships.

Which type of cancer?

He suffered from intestinal cancer which is represented by 6th house collectively by Moon and Jupiter. Mercury having Rahu like properties has added power to it to cause cancer.

Case: 3

This is the D6 chart of Sanjay Dutt.

Why cancer?

Again, Rahu is in lagna along with Sun. And Saturn itself in 6th house. Clearly giving clues about cancer. 

Which type of cancer?

If you consider Pakaa lagna, which Jupiter in Virgo, the 6th from it is retrograde mercury that too in third house of chart. Mercury represents lungs and also the third house shows respiratory system. So it is clear that he had lung cancer, which he fought and overcome the situation.

Case: 4

This D6 chart belongs to Yuvraj Singh.

Why cancer?

As it can be seen 8th house itself has Rahu along with Mars. Also 6th from it is lagna, which is already occupied by retrograde mercury and deadly Saturn, that too in lagna. Even if you consider Pakaa lagna, which is Taurus, 6th from it is Libra, where rahu is clearly giving clue of cancer.

Which type of cancer?

Here, needless to say that retrograde Mercury became responsible for lung cancer as discussed in above case. As mercury represents lungs.

Case: 5

This is the D6 chart of Actor Late. Rishi Kapoor. 

Why cancer?

Here, Saturn is in 12th from Rahu which caused death due to cancer. Also Saturn is enjoying in his Mooltrikona sign which makes it stronger. Also 6th from Moon and Jupiter is Saturn, promising something evil.

Which type of cancer?

As Jupiter (6th from 6th) has joined Moon over there and Moon represents blood and blood related matters. He suffered from Leukaemia - a kind of blood cancer. People with leukemia, the bone marrow produces an excessive amount of abnormal white blood cells, which don't function properly. These white blood cells are represented by Moon which is there in 6th from 6th along with Jupiter. 6th from Saturn will also always give clue about the type of disease, which is Sun here in watery cancer sign. Sun represents bones, where bone marrow is stored in the body.

Case: 6

As it can be seen that this is D6 of Manisha Koirala. She suffered from ovarian cancer. Venus represents ovarian cancer. Venus is in lagna. Also Rahu along with Jupiter in 5th house represents the same thing. Here, things may look bit tricky, but Sun and Saturn are at 180 degrees. Also, 6th lord is poisoned by Saturn. Though chances of recovery are also clearly visible as things are not that much worse.

Also, we have to keep in mind factors like accuracy of birth time, as divisional charts are very sensitive to times. Lagna or even placement of planets may change with just a little variation in time. As these data of birth time is not always accurate to the minute, we have to keep it in mind also. At the same time we have ignored the other charts like Lagna, Navamsha and also various other concept to keep things simple and to the point.
